About KP Food Authority
The KP Food Safety & Halal Food Authority (FS&HFA), established under the 2014 Act, ensures the provision of safe and healthy food across the province. All food businesses must be registered and regularly inspected for compliance. The Authority operates food testing laboratories and provides training to food handlers to promote scientific, law-abiding food practices.

Safe, hygienic, nutritious, and halal food is essential for a healthy and prosperous society. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to protecting public health by promoting food safety, ensuring quality standards, and strengthening regulatory measures across the province.
Allah Almighty says in the Holy Qur'an:
وَكُلُوا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي أَنْتُمْ بِهِ مُؤْمِنُونَ
"And eat of what Allah has provided for you [which is] lawful and good. And fear Allah, in whom you are believers."
(Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:88)

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ كُلُوا مِمَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ حَلَالًا طَيِّبًا
"O mankind, eat from whatever is lawful and wholesome on the earth."
(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:168)
